During the month of May, the Imaging Lab added a part-time records management expert to design a new program. This project is to compare the County Clerk microfilm records housed in the Archives to what should be an identical set of microfilm records (the disaster recovery library) stored off-site. Streamlining workflow during June
Met with Jason, Paul and Bill (Vaught) from County Clerk microfilm today. They agreed that the Image Address on the Archive Writer OPR output microfilm was obsolete. We'll no longer invest 20 hours per month increasing the perfection from 99% to 100%, since the technology has moved on. Keven and Mike agreed that (a few dozen older CDs aside) there would be no QC impact.
(The older CDs will still require and receive Mike's attention to the alphanumeric strings of text that run the indexing during conversion.)
