October 2011
For the first month FY 2012, the POLARIS table shows progress against the forecast performance measures that will be submitted with the next annual budget request. It shows, for example, that if we expect to scan one and a half million pages during the next year, we must average 125,000 per month. In October, we scanned more than 146,000 pages. July production report
When RMCR Imaging began the Byrne Grant digitization projects for the County and District Attorneys, one concern was the volume of papers coming in. Would enough prosecutor files be delivered to keep our technicians busy? The answer to that question came during July, as noted in the monthly management highlights video below:
Every month, the detailed POLARIS tables break out each performance indicator. Because an additional iteration of quality control has been added to the conversion process, the numbers for QC, if compared month-to-month, don't track the same tasks. This anomaly is apparent in the July POLARIS tables linked below:

May 2011 production report
During the month of May, the Imaging Lab added a part-time records management expert to design a new program. This project is to compare the County Clerk microfilm records housed in the Archives to what should be an identical set of microfilm records (the disaster recovery library) stored off-site. Details on this and other management highlights are in this video:

Streamlining workflow during June
Met with Jason, Paul and Bill (Vaught) from County Clerk microfilm today. They agreed that the Image Address on the Archive Writer OPR output microfilm was obsolete. We'll no longer invest 20 hours per month increasing the perfection from 99% to 100%, since the technology has moved on. Keven and Mike agreed that (a few dozen older CDs aside) there would be no QC impact.
(The older CDs will still require and receive Mike's attention to the alphanumeric strings of text that run the indexing during conversion.)
